CubeTree is looking for a front-end expert to join our great team of engineers.

Responsbilities:

  • Deliver new features and incremental site improvements with a focus on the user interface using Javascript, XHR and CSS.
  • Ensure a high level of quality both for CubeTree's users and for other developers.
  • Stay current on web standards, best practices and the nasties of developing for cross-browser compatibility.

Qualifications:

  • Expert at Javascript and XHR coding, including experience using multiple Javascript frameworks. YUI and jQuery preferred.
  • Expert at HTML and CSS.
  • Comfortable developing any portion of the application stack from data store layer to browser.
  • Excel at designing and implementing solutions in small teams. We offer a collaboration suite and eat our own dog food. If you don't like to collaborate, this isn't for you.
  • Proficiency working in a Linux environment.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals.
  • Excited to work in a highly iterative development process with weekly production releases.
  • 5+ years developing web applications. Scripting languages like Ruby, PHP, or Perl a big plus.
  • BS, Computer Science or equivalent

An ideal candidate would also have:

  • Ruby on Rails experience/
  • Insistence on Test Driven Development/
  • Strong sense of what makes for a highly usable application.
  • Knowledge of secure coding best practices.
  • Previous experience with an early-stage venture-backed startup.
