Qualified candidates will have an expertise in Python, SQL and experience writing distributed, high-volume web services.

  • Mobile Engineer

    Menlo Park — Software Development

    Shopkick is looking for a Mobile Engineer who combines a passion for technology with insight into how it is changing our world. Qualified candidates will have experience writing software for multiple major mobile platforms, most importantly iPhone, and experience with location-based services.

ShopKick is working to create the next big innovation at the intersection of mobile and the physical world and has already garnered quite a bit of attention. ShopKick was founded by mobile veteran and ex-EVP of CBS Mobile, Cyriac Roeding, who has already recruited several top execs from CBS, Loopt, SixApart and Tellme to lead the team.

We are looking for the "best-of-the-best" developers at this time to join the small core team. ShopKick's first iPhone app, CauseWorld, allows you to "help the world while you shop" by checking in to stores you most likely frequent anyway.

Currently located in Menlo Park (at KPCB offices on Sand Hill Road), ShopKick has received a substantial Series--A round from some of the valley heavyweights, with KPCB leading the round.
